Here in the UK they have what is Red Nose day...this year it's on the 13th of March. Do something funny for money!

This is why I love computer science.

MIT grad student David Merrill demos Siftables -- cookie-sized, computerized tiles you can stack and shuffle in your hands. These future-toys can do math, play music, and talk to their friends, too. Is this the next thing in hands-on learning?

I'd love for my future children to get their hands on these.  I think it would be a great learning tool, and would even help adults who need help with math, music, or learning a new language.  Making learning fun, and it will be a benefit to everyone.   :)

Hello to my few readers. I just wanted to apologize for not updating lately, I've been busy traveling and doing stuff for work.  I'm also working on a new website, which I'll continue my blog, but mainly have as a site to display all of my personal artwork.  I'm trying to work on a webcomic that I'll update once a week or so.  I've always wanted to try it, so here it goes. :)  I won't link it until I have a couple of comics lined up.  In May my 1and1 hosting expires, so before then I'll link up.  I'll still keep my tumblr as that's fun and super easy to update.  ^.^

Just wanted to share a great app for Linux if you have a Wacom tablet. I was happy that I got my Bamboo Fun to work previously, but it always worked in "pen mode" (can't pick up the pen and move it freely). So i did a search and viola... Gnome Graphics Tablet App!  Now I can use it exactly how I want to in teh Gimp.

So apparently we should be getting alot of snow here in Reading. I don't believe it... we'll see tomorrow. Russian winter or something... ya... right. :P We'll see if I'm proved wrong.

Superbowl is on today... I can't believe it's been a year since I remember seeing it at home in NY. A year went by quickly! It's on BBC One in about 15 minutes.

I had another ladies game for volleyball today, it was pretty good. I've been getting more comfortable with my position and setting well. I think I'm gaining more confidence, hence performing better. Wooo!

I haven't drawn anything recently...must change that.

Enough posting for now. Sorry for this non-entertaining post... I guess stuff like this should go on my tumblr mini blog, not this one.
