So, a couple of transfers for me on the way...

As of today I will be moving Lizzeh.com to a new webhost at Dreamhost. I might transfer the blog to Tumblr to try it out for a bit, or make a new Wordpress blog. Either way, I'd like a fresh start!
I'll either try to move the database to my new hosting as an archive, or keep an archive on my wordpress.com site to always have it accessible.

Also another transfer will be that I'm moving to London in a couple of weeks! Great area, awesome flat!  I've always wanted to live in  Manhattan back home, but since I'm here in England, I want to make the most of it and live in the city! I can't wait!  Hopefully I'll start taking more photos and start photoblogging along with everything else.  :)

MIT grad student David Merrill demos Siftables -- cookie-sized, computerized tiles you can stack and shuffle in your hands. These future-toys can do math, play music, and talk to their friends, too. Is this the next thing in hands-on learning?

I'd love for my future children to get their hands on these.  I think it would be a great learning tool, and would even help adults who need help with math, music, or learning a new language.  Making learning fun, and it will be a benefit to everyone.   :)

Hello to my few readers. I just wanted to apologize for not updating lately, I've been busy traveling and doing stuff for work.  I'm also working on a new website, which I'll continue my blog, but mainly have as a site to display all of my personal artwork.  I'm trying to work on a webcomic that I'll update once a week or so.  I've always wanted to try it, so here it goes. :)  I won't link it until I have a couple of comics lined up.  In May my 1and1 hosting expires, so before then I'll link up.  I'll still keep my tumblr as that's fun and super easy to update.  ^.^

Just wanted to share a great app for Linux if you have a Wacom tablet. I was happy that I got my Bamboo Fun to work previously, but it always worked in "pen mode" (can't pick up the pen and move it freely). So i did a search and viola... Gnome Graphics Tablet App!  Now I can use it exactly how I want to in teh Gimp.

So apparently we should be getting alot of snow here in Reading. I don't believe it... we'll see tomorrow. Russian winter or something... ya... right. :P We'll see if I'm proved wrong.

Superbowl is on today... I can't believe it's been a year since I remember seeing it at home in NY. A year went by quickly! It's on BBC One in about 15 minutes.

I had another ladies game for volleyball today, it was pretty good. I've been getting more comfortable with my position and setting well. I think I'm gaining more confidence, hence performing better. Wooo!

I haven't drawn anything recently...must change that.

Enough posting for now. Sorry for this non-entertaining post... I guess stuff like this should go on my tumblr mini blog, not this one.

Here's a new deviantion from me :)  It's my first collage piece. I followed a photoshop tutorial from smashingmagazine, and added some great stock images from the stock exchange.  Let me know what you think! If you have a dA account, leave comments there as well!

I'm working on a website where I can keep all my designs, sketches, and comics in one place. Not sure if it will be a new blog, but it will run on Wordpress since it's really flexible.  So we'll wait and see about that.

I'm watching the CNN coverage with Facebook live online at my job. How I LOVE technology! It's great to see all the Facebook statuses as well.  I posted a couple of screenshot statuses on my tumblr.  It's all about hope, no matter who you are, or where you're from.

I just hope people realize the new president IS only human, and if he doesn't do as all people with high hopes expect of him, they'll consider him a failure.  Let's hope things will be ok and well...see what happens!

A very exciting day indeed. I'm very proud.

So if you check out my recent tumblr posts, I've been successful in getting my wacom tablet working on my linux "purple pc" desktop, as well as finding out my canon scanner works right away!  This makes me really happy as I have a fully functional desktop doing al the things I want it to do within Linux and Open Source software.  They've made so many things integrated with new distributions that it really makes the old days of compiling software re-compiling kernels a thing of the past (well for me anyway, it's been a long ways since Redhat 3, my first shot at linux in college). I've always had luck with ubuntu or Ubuntu based distros, so check it out.  :)
